Hi all. Ok so i need suggestions..My 8mth old seems to be wantin to be on my hip more than before. He crawls all over the place, plays with stuff & explores. For the past month he jus want to be attached to my hip & it keeps me from stuff that needs to be done. Ill put him down & he screams & cries. When we visit my family my mom tells me to pick him put but i think that is how this all started. It mainly happens at my moms & its been frustrating. Any suggestion on what i could do/try??? Another thing, how can i get him to play in his playpen??? He cries when he is in there but i wana be able to get chores & stuff done while he is distracted in his playpen. THANKS.
Try a baby sling. That way he can be with you but you still have both hands free for chores.

I had a sling which i used when he was 2-4mths..then used a carrier when he was 5-6 1/2mths..he jus didnt like bein in them..the carrier did help some but not while i had to get things done; helped when i was out and about. He is now 16lbs 13oz & 25 long..gets anythin in his reach.. And we our movin in a bigger place which will make it harder..ughh need to figure somethin out..
I raised my nephew from birth to 9 months. and he had the same problem. really the only thing u can do is to not pay attention and give in. i know its hard, but its what has to be done. dont give in just let him cry. he will stop and get used to it soon enough
